Securing a team that works from anywhere

The office used to be the security boundary. Now there isn't one.

When people work from homes, cafés and other countries, "keep the bad guys outside the building" stops meaning anything. Security has to move to the devices and accounts themselves.

01 Protect the account, not the location

Since staff log in from everywhere, the login itself is the front line. MFA on every account, and conditional rules that flag logins from odd places or impossible travel, do far more than any office firewall.

02 Secure the device in their hands

A laptop on a home network needs its own protection: disk encryption so a stolen device is useless, up-to-date patches, antivirus, and monitoring that reports in wherever the machine is.

03 Give safe access to internal resources

When people need to reach systems that used to live "inside," do it through a VPN or modern zero-trust access — not by exposing those systems to the open internet.

04 Make the safe way the easy way

Security that's annoying gets bypassed. Single sign-on, a password manager, and clear simple rules mean people stay secure because it's also the path of least resistance.

The shift in mindset

Remote work isn't less secure — it's differently secure. Protect identities and devices instead of a building, and a distributed team can be safer than an old office ever was.

This is the setup we build with Cloud & M365 and Network & Wi-Fi.
