Service 04 — Resilience
Backup & Recovery
A backup you've never tested is a hope, not a safety net. We run automated backups and — just as importantly — regularly prove they can be restored, so the worst day is survivable.
04.1 What's included
- Automated daily backups of the data, devices and systems that matter to you.
- Verified restore tests. We periodically restore from backup to confirm it actually works — the step most setups skip until it's too late.
- A written recovery plan for the scenarios that hurt: a dead laptop, a failed server, a cloud account lockout, or ransomware.
- Clear retention & objectives. Defined RPO (how much data you can afford to lose) and RTO (how fast you need to be back).
04.2 The 3-2-1 principle
A durable strategy keeps 3 copies of your data, on 2 different kinds of storage, with 1 copy off-site and isolated. We design your setup around that idea and adapt it to your tools and budget.
| Copy | Where | Protects against |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | Local / in-use | Everyday mistakes, deletions |
| Secondary | Separate storage | Drive or device failure |
| Off-site | Cloud, isolated | Fire, theft, ransomware |
04.3 When disaster hits
1
Contain
We isolate affected machines so the problem doesn't spread.
2
Restore
We bring systems and data back from the most recent clean backup.
3
Review
We find how it happened and close the gap so it doesn't repeat.
Ransomware-aware by design
Because modern ransomware targets backups too, we keep recovery copies isolated from day-to-day access — so there's always a clean point to return to.
